Sustainable design is the art of designing physical objects, the built environment and services to comply with the principles of economic, social, and ecological sustainability.

The aim of sustainable design is to produce places, products and services in a way that reduces the use of non-renewable resources, minimizes environmental impact, and relates people with the natural environment.

Sustainable architecture is the design of sustainable buildings. Sustainable architecture attempts to reduce the collective environmental impacts during the production of building components, during the construction process, as well as during the lifecycle of the building.

Garrison Architects
will provide design leadership in certifying your building at LEED Silver, Gold or Platinum levels as you desire.

LEED is a third-party certification program and the nationally accepted benchmark for the design, construction and operation of high performance green buildings. LEED gives building owners and operators the tools they need to have an immediate and measurable impact on their buildings' performance.

LEED promotes a whole-building approach to sustainability by recognizing performance in five key areas of human and environmental health:
    Sustainable site development,
    Water savings,
    Energy Efficiency &
         Alternative Sources,
    Materials selection and Reuse
    Indoor environmental quality.
